Program Summary
Get a head start on your winter triathlon training with the Sea Hiker Triathlon Swim Pod. This is a swim practice for new to intermediate triathletes. Distance swimmers are also welcome, but preparing for triathlon swims will be the main focus. Your coach will help you swim more efficiently over longer distances and the capacity to swim up to 1500-4000m.
Our focus will be on developing a good swim technique for your open water triathlon races. This program is a hybrid of fundamentals coaching, propulsion techniques and pace awareness practice. Our practices will be skill focused for the first three weeks and then we will build distance to 1800-2300m.
You should be able to swim 200m without stopping, even if it isn't pretty!

Spaces: This swim pod is limited to 8 swimmers.

Cost
Twice a week: $255 + HST (for 14 sessions)
Once a week: $165 + HST (for 7 sessions)

Mondays and Wednesdays:
January 9th to February 22nd, 7:30 am - 8:30 am
** Note: Mid-season Registration: Depending on availability, you may register part way through the course if you need a later start date. Cost will be pro-rated as above for this season.
Prerequisites
You should be able to swim 200m non-stop, and 3-5 x 100m with short rest.
Is this for me?
If you are stuck at a certain speed or really having difficulty reducing the effort of your swims, this course will help you understand what you need to do and how to do it in each swim practice.
Participants under 18
If you are under 18 years of age, you will need a parent or guardian to sign your liability waiver form when you arrive for the program.
