Dryland practice:

Review standing recovery and extension.

Standing rotations.

Standing switches.

Laying switches.

Pool practice:

Maintain form throughout majority of stroke.

  • maintain lead arm position.
  • maintain balance.
  • maintain streamline body form.
  • maintain relaxation.
  • switch is a momentary adjustment from one glide form to the other.

With fins:

  • Glide and set arm and hand to beginning of extension.
  • Glide and set arm and hand to beginning of extension and switch.
  • Review glide w/recovery.
  • Switches.

Without fins:

  • Glide and set arm and hand to beginning of extension and switch.
  • Switches.
