Program Summary:
Essential Open Water Skills and Winter Training Strategies for the Pool
In this pool session, we will review the fundamental open water skills that you can practice during the winter (along with your technique and training fundamentals, of course), so that when the water warms up, you'll be prepared to make the most of your skill in open water.
In this mini-course, you'll learn essential open water skills and training strategies with fewer distractions than you would typically experience outdoors.
This session will cover the following key topics to help you swim efficiently in variable conditions:
Coach Peter will show you what you need to do hit the water next season with confidence.
Note: If you have a triathlon wetsuit, please bring it to the session.
Schedule:
6:45 - 9:15 pm (please be on the pool deck by 6:45 pm ready to swim)
Prerequisites: You should be able to swim 50-100m without stopping in the pool.

What to bring:
Please bring swim goggles, fitted swim suits (ie. not baggy shorts), towels, snacks, hot tea or water, if desired. If you have a wetsuit, please bring it as we will be using wetsuits in part of the session.
A swim cap is often helpful to retain warmth.
Participants under 18:
If you are under 18 years of age, you will need a parent or guardian to sign your liability waiver form when you arrive for the program.
