Sea Hiker coaches will lead you through a session dedicated to making sure your kicking is effective for fast and long distance swimming.

In this three hour session, you will learn:

  • Key dryland exercises for an effective kick
  • How to eliminate runner's kick, bicycle kicking, and kicking that slows you down
  • Best cross training, drills for developing your kick
  • An understanding of how kicking should be used for a variety of stroke styles
  • The key drills and exercises for developing a two beat kick for fast swimming
  • Important core strength and coordination exercises that will enhance how you swim
  • How to practice and train for a better kicking style
  • Help with key obstacles in kicking and how to overcome them including lack of flexibility and coordination
  • Detailed home study notes for practice after the clinic

You will leave this session with a profound understanding of how to use kicking to complement your stroke and use it to swim faster without wasting energy.

Prerequisites: 

Previous instruction from Sea Hiker required! Exceptions:

  • For competent swimmers with a solid understanding and practice of technique, please contact us to discuss the suitability of this course.
  • For swimmers with a competent execution of Total Immersion swimming technique.

Able to swim 50-100m with relative ease.
