Program Summary
The biggest challenge in swimming when starting out is learning how to build fitness and improve technique without getting discouraged and falling back into bad habits.
The Easy Laps Swim Pod is for anyone who can swim 25m and wants to build distances up to 200m non-stop with ease.
In this class, we will focus on the essential practices that create graceful, efficient and enjoyable laps. You will learn drills and exercises designed to transform your backstroke and freestyle (front crawl) into strokes you can do for minutes on end. If you have completed other basic Sea Hiker courses or private lessons, this is a great class to improve your existing skills with further coach feedback and build greater confidence in yourself as a swimmer.

Prerequisites
You should be able to swim 25m of freestyle or backstroke, and be realtively comfortable in the deep end of the pool. If you have fear that prevents you from swimming with ease, contact us for help!
Is this for me?
If you are looking to build your ability to swim multiple laps and build confidence in the water, this is for you.
Parking
The YWCA has a parking garage under the facility (on Dunsmuir St). There is also meter parking and paid parking garages in the vicinity.
